Larry Gragg

Larry is the author of Bright Light City: Las Vegas in Popular Culture, 1905-2005 (University Press of Kansas, 2013) and Benjamin “Bugsy” Siegel: The Gangster, The Flamingo, and The Making of Las Vegas (Praeger, 2015). He has just published Becoming America’s Playground: Las Vegas in the 1950s (University of Oklahoma Press, 2019). While not a compulsive gambler, he has become a compulsive visitor to Las Vegas where he has made over 60 research trips to the Special Collections at the Lied Library at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
